Our Valentine's Day party table was decorated by Caleb.
He did a great job!
Happy Valentine's Day to everyone who reads this!
The new door for the boy's room.
We went to solid wood doors because those are much easier to retrofit to the odd door sizes our farmhouse has upstairs.
They look so much nicer.
Hannah left her mark before the new door was 24 hours old. I sanded it out with very little effort. It will be stained to match our hardwood floors.
The middle boys, Joshua and Caleb, are getting new bunk beds with a dresser, closet, shelves and a desk underneath. This will maximize the space in their room and give them a clearly defined, individual space. (That means Mom can tell who hasn't cleaned their room!) We will paint over the "Asbell blue" (a mix of partial cans of paint) with the battleship grey the boy's requested. The beds and furniture will be a darker grey. Caleb's idea of black trim is still being tossed around. Joshua and Caleb requested camo curtains.
We never envisioned the Lord blessing us with seven children when we moved into our old farmhouse with its small bedroom. We have adapted and overcome obstacles to make this home fit our ever changing needs.
Bethany (7) wants her, Emily's and Hannah's room decorated in a princess theme with maybe a unicorn or two thrown in for good measure. Amanda has not decided about her room decor. Brandon has a mountain getaway feel in his room and wants a large print of a cougar to go on the walls.
