Grave Digger

Oregon Inlet

sea turtle nest

We are back from our 5 bedroom, two master suite, 4 bath beach rental in Duck, NC where we had a wonderful time! We relaxed and played together the entire week! Since most large families require two to three hotel rooms due to state fire codes and occupancy requirements, renting a beach house for a week is a more affordable option. It's also much more comfortable!

We met NEST volunteers who were watching over sea turtle nests about to hatch. They told us if they started hatching while we were there, they'd invite our family to watch!

We got together with two sets of friends, ate new-to-us foods (alligator and Mahi-Mahi), found the Corolla horses again, collected sea shells, explored Oregon Inlet's 4x4 beaches, met new people, found sea glass, swam in the pool, lounged in the hot tub, relaxed in the jacuzzi, played air hockey, ate out, played games, enjoyed shopping, enjoyed the ocean views from our room and balconies, etc, etc. It was a fun eight days!
