Service for Rickie L. Edwards

Liane asked Clint and I to make sure everyone knew when her son's service is. We had not seen Liane in nearly 30 years, and wish it had been under better circumstances. Rickie was her only child. I wish everyone could have a chance to hear Liane's and her mother's testimonies of what God has done in their lives. It blessed Clint and I to hear them share what they did. Please pray for Liane and Carol. They both know the Lord, but this is extremely painful.

Richard Lee Edwards, age 24, of Woodbridge, VA, passed away on Tuesday, December 4th as a result of severe head trauma that he incurred in an auto accident on Interstate 495 in Fairfax County, VA. Rickie Lee, as he was known to friends, was born March 16, 1988 in Suffolk, VA to parents, Edward Marshall Edwards and Liane Kronbauer Edwards. Rickie graduated from Oscar Smith High School in Chesapeake, VA. He was a member of First Baptist Church, N. Main St. Suffolk, VA. Rickie worked with his father at their family owned Colortyme Franchise in Northern VA. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and had high hopes for his beloved Packers this season. He had a love and passion for music, art, writing, and nature. He was a published author and a self taught bass guitarist. He dreamed of being a rock star and unfortunately like many young musicians he was taken from us way too soon.

He was survived by his mother, Liane Kronbauer Edwards; father, Edward Edwards; step mother, Lisa Edwards; little brother, Colin Edwards; grandparents Catherine and JT Saunders, Freddy and Jean Edwards and Carol Kronbauer; uncle, Rob Kronbauer and wife, Stacy; aunts, Tammy Buhls and husband, David, and Lois Csedrik; 9 cousins, Ernie and Lewis Csedrik, Logan Kronbauer, Jessica Alberracin, Kayla Buhls, Eric Buhls, Denise Youssef, Diane Davis and Eric Davis; his girlfriend Angie Klemencic and a multitude of family and friends. A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, December 9th at 2 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home Crematory, 3515 Robs Dr., Suffolk, VA 23434 with Dr. Thurman R. Hayes, Jr. officiating. Condolences may be registered online at www.parrfuneralhome.com. Rickie carried a coin with him at all times in his wallet. On one side is a Cross and on the other were these words: “Lord, Help me remember that nothing is going to happen today that you and I can't handle TOGETHER." RIP Rickie Lee, may your star shine even brighter in the next life in Heaven than it did in this one.

You can leave condolences and words of encouragement in the guestbook here.
