Japanese Baked Bean Cake

Our family loves going into the international markets and trying new foods. It is an inexpensive way for us to learn about other cultures and cuisines. Caleb loved his last trip because he was able to watch the men prepare fresh fish for the market.

This week we sampled a Japanese Baked Bean Cake. It looked like a small, soft cookie and had a red bean paste filling. They were sweet, but not overly sweet. Bethany picked these out on her night out with Mom and Dad for our family to try. She was a hit with the sweet Korean women who called her "baby girl."
