His Color is His Name

This was Amanda's cat. Grey is Orange's brother. Amanda adopted them right before she purchased her home. When you work 60+ hours a week, you don't have much energy for names. Everyone in the family kept referring to them as "the orange one" and "the grey one" so our tired girl ran with it.

Bethany and Grey developed a very close bond. Amanda took him with her when she moved into her new house. I was pretty happy about that. I'm not a big cat fan. Bethany and Grey missed each other. Amanda loves Grey very much, but she brought him back and gave him to Bethany because she loves her sister more. I am even happier about that.

Grey often runs downstairs to jump in Bethany's lap and hugs her face and neck with his paws while meowing at her over and over which is very sweet to see. I take joy in Bethany's joy in Grey. I'm thankful Amanda is that kind of big sister to her.

Sacrificial love is beautiful!

Galatians 5:13-14 My brothers and sisters, God chose you to be free. But don’t use your freedom as an excuse to do what pleases your sinful selves. Instead, serve each other with love. The whole law is made complete in this one command: “Love your neighbor the same as you love yourself.
