Green Onions

driedgreenonions

These green onions have been cut and grown back over and over again.
There are four jars, but I could only get three in the close up shot.

When I can't use them, I dehydrate the cuttings to use later in the year.
We get several cuttings off of them. Then, we plant them outside in our garden.
They come back the next year, and we can put them in the window (or leave them in the garden) to do the same. I like growing them inside because then I don't forget them, and because they add a nice touch of green inside during the winter. They make for an easy growing project for small children too. They give a lot for the tiny investment.
