This was earlier when the fire had come back to life and was making its way around the back. I marked the end of the house in the picture. The entire area in between there and the barn was filled with flames pushed that way by the high winds. You could not walk on the side of the house without turn out gear on when it was going. You could feel the heat in the front yard. I miss the barn. We had just painted it and put a roof coating on it too.
I know there was more than one fire department present during that long day. Thank you to everyone!
A special thank you to the men and women who put themselves in harm's way and risked bodily injury to keep our home safe.
