I have no idea which trail we found this down.
It was on an unmapped trail Clint found.

Finding this was like finding a pot of gold...a real treasure!

Paths

I often take walks to talk with the Lord. I cherish that time. It is so easy for me to recharge in nature.These are two of the paths we have on our place.

You are the Lord, you alone. You have made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them; and you preserve all of them; and the host of heaven worships you. Nehemiah 9:6

Daylily Season

Although we gave away 500 of these this year, we still have at least a thousand (or more) to enjoy on our farm in the different places they are planted. We have them growing up and down the sides of our 1/8 of a mile driveway, along our sheds and fences, and in other areas. There were only 50 of them here when we moved here in 1995. I work them a little each year to expand them on our farm.

Tranquility

As we are wait on another winter storm to come through, I am very eager for spring to return so I can sit in this quiet spot and reflect on life (and fish)! I am looking forward to pulling out some more bass.

We Had a Wonderful Anniversary

Clint's hunting paid off! We had a wonderful 25th anniversary weekend in a very pretty location!

The house we stayed in is owned by an antiques dealer. I fell in love with this old, worn desk.

This leather topped table was gorgeous.



The fireplace was made of oyster shells.
This home had many beautiful features throughout.



We enjoyed the private pier and the many water activities very much.
We met some nice people and made some new friends.

We enjoyed the wildlife also.

This shy couple lived in the boat house.

We even found the end of the rainbow right where we were staying!
The double rainbow began and ended on the river. Neither of us had ever seen a rainbow with both ends visible before. It was spectacular!

Our Bible verse in our devotional on our anniversary was:

We could not have asked for a more perfect anniversary!

Some of the dunes used for access to behind the beach roads have been closed while other dunes are now being opened to cross.

With a new bridge, how much can Carova handle?

We always look for tracks on the otherside of a puddle.
If the people who live there won't go through it, we probably don't want to either.

Some of those "puddles" are deceptively deep and will wash over the hood of your 4WD.
This man's truck was cut off in the middle of the puddle when we first saw him.

In the picture, he had managed to move it forward out of the water and was running his engine to clear the water out. We waited to see if they needed help, but they managed on their own. That is his wife in the Jeep behind him.
