The day I needed to separate our first seventeen rabbits by gender was cold, windy, and damp. I asked one of the children to bring the rabbits inside our spare room to limit our time outdoors. I mark the ears with a permanent marker as M or F. We will keep all of the females of this group for breeding through to next fall.
