Make Your Own Smoke OIl for Train Engines
For a smoke producing electric train we own, we had to apply smoke fluid for the engine to make realistic puffs of smoke. I am not too keen on purchasing an item if I can make it myself. Since I make soap and other toiletries, I have glycerine on hand. I learned you can make smoke fluid for the engines that use them by mixing 1 part glycerine to 3 parts distilled water. For higher concentrations of smoke, you can use up to 75% glycerine.
