The battle is raging.

Skillet frontman warns Americans are on the ‘Verge of losing this Country,’ Amid ‘Wimpy, Woke’ Culture”

https://endtimeheadlines.org/2023/11/watch-skillet-frontman-warns-americans-are-on-the-verge-of-losing-this-country-amid-wimpy-woke-culture

Cooper said it’s time for people to confront the fact that too many Christians have elevated winsomeness over truth, subjugating the latter to a point that has made some churches ineffective.

“They die the death of a thousand caveats, because we don’t want to hurt people’s feelings,” Cooper said. “And, obviously, we should be gracious and loving towards people but we have to tell people the truth. And, so, we’ve become wimpy, we’ve also become weak.” ...

“As a Christian, you have to go back to the Bible and say, ‘Wait a minute, is this a true category of oppression or is this something that the world is saying that we have to do?’” he said. “And I think the answer to that is kind of quite obvious.”

Caving in and giving up the biblical definitions of things, Cooper said, is what it means to be “wimpy, weak, and woke.” In the end, he believes the war raging against the U.S. and American ideals is really a “war against Christianity.”

Do you see yourself in any of these examples?

"Maybe you’re stridently committed to a political party or ideology, to the point that it has become your god. You’ve heard what the Bible has to say on the issues of the day, but if it disagrees with your political stances, you refuse to accept its truths.

Or perhaps you view the Gospel of Jesus Christ as irrelevant to your life. It’s great for other people, but not for you. Life is going well, and you simply don’t see the need for God, much less a Savior.

Or could it be that you consider yourself a Christian, or at least a spiritual person, but you have yet to surrender to Christ, and therefore you haven’t experienced the hope, forgiveness, love and peace that He offers? You’re skimming the surface, checking the box, maybe even borrowing from various worldviews to form a “religion” that works for you.

If you recognize that one of these examples describes your situation, it could be that there is an issue of pride holding you back from surrendering to Christ as Savior. The Bible has a lot to say about pride and its consequences.

For instance, Proverbs 16:18 reads, “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.” Psalm 10:4: “In the pride of his face the wicked does not seek him; all his thoughts are, ‘There is no God.’”

Pride causes you to build yourself up to a level greater than God, focusing on yourself instead of on Him. It leaves no room for the Savior, and it sets you on a very dangerous path.

The other side of this coin is pleasure, which often goes hand in hand with pride. Many refuse to turn to Christ because they find fleeting pleasure in the things of this world.

For people like this, their god is usually sex, pornography, relationships, alcohol, drugs, money or materialism. They’re trying to “live their best life” and “follow their heart,” focusing on the moment rather than their eternal soul. They want to be comfortable, have the newest toys and satisfy all of their desires. This puts up a wall that keeps them from seeing their need for God." Read the rest--> Source

"How is it that more than 190 governments from all over the world ended up dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic in almost exactly the same manner, with lockdowns, mask mandates, and vaccination cards now being commonplace everywhere? The answer may lie in the Young Global Leaders school, which was established and managed by Klaus Schwab of the World Economic Forum, and that many of today’s prominent political and business leaders passed through on their way to the top."

Article: Time Crystal

Otherworldly 'time crystal' made inside Google quantum computer could change physics forever

The crystal is able to forever cycle between states without losing energy.

 https://www.livescience.com/google-invents-time-crystal

In this sense, a time crystal is like a pendulum that never stops swinging.

"Even if you totally physically isolate a pendulum from the universe, so there's no friction and no air resistance, it will eventually stop. And that's because of the second law of thermodynamics," Achilleas Lazarides, a physicist at the University of Loughborough in the U.K. who was among the scientists to first discover the theoretical possibility of the new phase in 2015, told Live Science. "Energy starts out concentrated in the pendulum's center of mass, but there's all of these internal degrees of freedom — like the ways the atoms can vibrate inside the rod — that it will eventually be transferred into."

In fact, there's no way for a large-scale object to behave like a time crystal without sounding absurd, because the only rules that enable time crystals to exist are the spooky and surreal rules that govern the world of the very small — quantum mechanics

Article: Homeschooled Teen Wins Gold at Physics Olympiad

Homeschooled Teen Wins Gold at Physics Olympiad

Homeschooled student Evan Erickson has become one of the most accomplished teens on the planet when it comes to physics and math.

In July, the 17-year-old from Minnesota won a gold medal at the 51st International Physics Olympiad, where he competed as part of a five-member team representing the United States.

Evan’s mother, Rena, who has homeschooled her five children over the course of  23 years, admits she’s excited by Evan’s achievement and his moment of renown. She’s quick to add that she and her husband Dan encourage all their children to develop their full potential and to celebrate one another’s triumphs.

“We don’t compete with each other,” Rena said. “Everybody is everybody else’s cheerleader.”

Extreme Effort

Guo Xinzhen's father, Guo Gangtang, never stopped looking, either. After his son went missing, he embarked on a search across China, riding a motorbike through nearly all of the vast country's provinces, covering 500,000 kilometers (310,685 miles), according to state-run news agency Xinhua.

He carried little with him except a bag full of fliers, and a flag emblazoned with a picture of his son. He used up all his savings and racked up staggering debts, burning through 10 motorcycles on his long journey, Xinhua reported. -source

Dear Reader, This is a touching story of a good father going through extreme effort to find his lost child. I can only think of one other story that surpasses it. It's the story of a Father Who gave His only Son to die in our place for the wrongs we have committed. I hope you know Him. I hope you have made Him your Lord and Savior. I hope He truly reigns in your life. Love to all!

    Local CoVid Survival Story

The fight of her life: Mathews COVID-19 patient on road to recovery

Not a religious person, he called everyone he knew and asked them to pray for his wife at 11 a.m. on Monday, when the ventilator was scheduled to be turned off. Prayer chains were started, not just in Mathews but all across the country, as well.

With his children unable to travel because of pandemic restrictions, Kevin went alone to the hospital on Monday morning to say goodbye to his wife and best friend of 48 years, when he was met by a different doctor than he had seen before. Kevin asked him to give Peggy something to keep her from suffering after she was removed from the ventilator, but he told Kevin he was not ready to sign the papers to end treatment.

“His words to me were, ‘I will not euthanize this woman. She’s fighting,’” said Kevin. He wonders if all the prayers did, indeed, make a difference.

    Cling to Jesus

This came from a friend going through difficulty and is for another friend going through similar:

Article: Special Challenges for Abused Women of Faith

"If not, cling to Jesus. He knows what it’s like to be betrayed by a kiss."

The encouragement and advice in this article can be applied to other relationship abuses besides marital. It's worth the read.

This has nothing to do with my marriage or my adult daughter. It is from a friend for a friend who is not able to use her phone or computer right now.

My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry,

Article: Why We Play the Blame Game

... here are 5 reasons we play the blame game.

    1. Blame is an excellent defense mechanism. Whether you call it projection, denial, or displacement, blame helps you preserve your sense of self-esteem by avoiding awareness of your own flaws or failings.
    2. Blame is a tool we use when we’re in attack mode. Falling into the category of a destructive conflict resolution method, blame is a way to try to hurt our partners.
    3. We’re not very good at figuring out the causes of other people's behavior, or even our own. The attributions we make, whether to luck or ability, can be distorted by our tendency to make illogical judgments. And we're just as bad at making judgments involving the blameworthiness of actions in terms of intent vs. outcome
    4. It’s easier to blame someone else than to accept responsibility. There’s less effort involved in recognizing your contributions to a bad situation than in accepting the fact that you're actually at fault, and changing so you don't do it again.
    5. People lie. As my colleague, Robert Feldman, discovered, “Everybody lies.” It’s pretty easy just to lie and blame someone else even though you know you’re at fault. You may figure that no one will know it was really you who spilled coffee all over the break room, so you just blame someone else who’s not there (and hope that person never finds out).

    Article: For Christian Singles

"Asking God to help you find a mate is a good thing. Here are a few tips for how to pray boldly for marriage. ...

She talked differently about marriage than what I was used to. She said it was a good thing, that God created it for our benefit, and that He still wants Christians to marry and have families. But she didn't stop there. "Be open about your desire to marry," she said. "Talk about it with your friends, just like you talk about all the other things you hope to do." She even went so far to say, "In our anti-marriage culture you have to be strategic."
I was embarrassed to admit my desire, and here she was encouraging me to not only acknowledge my hopes, but also pursue them.

Suddenly I felt free to really pray. My requests looked totally different than before." read the rest here.

Article: Why Ascribing Intent Is Making You Miserable

Why Ascribing Intent Is Making You Miserable

"The times when I’m most hurt by what I think other people did, are the times when I compare myself to others. ... Comparison and intent form a vicious cycle. But don’t despair, there is hope. Plenty of people have learned how to take things at face value, and nothing more. They do not ascribe intent, and live happier lives as a result. It comes with practice, maturity, and healthy boundaries."

This article is very good, but there is another side to it. Be very wary of people who are always telling you why someone else behaves the way they do because it will affect your relationships. Listening to them will harden your heart towards people who probably were doing the best they could. Be also wary of someone who tries to tell you how you feel. They will erode your self esteem and destroy your self confidence. Only God can judge motives and intentions. Only He sees into the heart and fully knows and understands. A mature Christian is going to have the wisdom and grace to give the benefit of the doubt and will seek to build relationships rather than tear them apart.
