Joshua rang the groceries up at a self checkout recently. He did such a good job a nearby clerk told him to wait a few years and come back for a job. He really enjoyed the compliment! It just took a moment for the lady to give him encouragement and a big smile that has lasted two days. I need to remember to do that for other children we see when I am out.
Right now Joshua has the job of helping look out for his younger siblings. He takes that job so seriously, he recently bought himself a knight set to defend his little sisters. (He is modeling the mask to that set above.) So far, the only real "threat" to his younger siblings and sometimes to himself is the Tickle Monster that strangely only shows up when Mom or Dad is around. :-)
