Clint works in Williamsburg, and something has been going around there. Many people were out of the office this week. The doctor said Clint can continue working. Whatever it is-is in his workplace anyways. Other than that, we are self-isolating to be considerate and responsible to others. Again, we do not know what we have.
3/14: Whatever virus this is, it has gone straight to our chests. We have no idea what we have. We are just sharing to keep our friends and family informed because we have something viral. We are still self-quarantining which is what we do normally with any illness.
We did learn Covid-19 is in the immediate neighborhood where Clint works. There are eight known cases in JCC, but there are rumors of more. One estimate said that for every known case, there are at least 50 unknown cases because of the way the disease spreads. The 70 year old male who died in JCC was of unknown origin which means it was likely community spread.
We aren't overly concerned about the virus for ourselves as it looks to be very mild in most people. I am currently researching and studying various treatment protocols including allopathic and alternative medicines. We are very concerned for the high risk individuals in our circle of family and friends. We are concerned about our hospital systems being overwhelmed, and people not getting adequate care.
3/17: I really do not think we have the coronavirus. Clint and I are still feeling the effects of it. We're tired and coughing still. It's given us lots of headaches. Bethany had it a couple of days. Emily and Hannah coughed for just a day. Joshua has it and has been hit hard. Brandon and Amanda have been battling it a few days. Caleb hasn't shown any symptoms, PTL!
Praise: I was concerned about Caleb with his "adhered" lung from the pleurodesis surgery. He'd have very sharp pains when coughing or vomiting (stomach virus a few weeks post op). I asked him yesterday if he still felt those pains when he coughed. He told me no. He can't feel it even a little bit. God answered that prayer too.

Pray. Right now is a good time to turn off distractions and focus on your relationship with the Lord. Armor up! Walk by faith not by sight. If you have been paying close attention, you realize there is a lot more going on than what is being reported. Take my words seriously, weed sin out of your heart, guard your thoughts, dig in deep, and pray hard that God's people are victorious. Be God's light to all you encounter during these unprecedented times. While the whole world is fearful of death, it is a golden opportunity to share the good news of Jesus and His free gift of salvation.
Prepare. We believe a partial or full quarantine is going to happen in the very near future. Two to three weeks worth of necessities on hand is a good idea. A month, if you can do it, is even better. Order it and have it shipped to your home if you can. Eat nutrient dense foods. Take supplements. Get plenty of sleep. Let go of fear, which stresses your body, and put your faith in the Lord. He is in control.
If you need a meal, OTC meds, toilet paper, a grocery pickup, or anything else, call us. We might not have a lot, but we can share a little to help you through. Love to all!
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
