What's in our camping/off-roading garage bucket?

This post was made per request after our First Off Roading Mishap. I also shared what I keep in my backpack aka "my purse." The garage bucket goes with us everywhere. With what we keep in our backpacks and in the suburban (see previous posts), we can be fairly comfortable anywhere for up to a week.

The reason the bucket is lined with a trash bag is so that we can pull everything out quickly and keep it tidy in case we need the bucket. Since the bucket is tightly packed, the roomy trash bag also allows us to easily rifle through the contents to find what we need if we are pressed for time.

There is an itemized list taped to the front of the 7-gallon bucket. There is another itemized list inside the bucket.

I bought the 7-gallon brewery bucket and lid from Amazon for $23. It gives a bit more room but does not take up any extra floor space.

Contents:
Sawyer mini 1-gallon filtration system
P-51 can opener (kept in the bag with the itemized list)
Hose clamps (various sizes) with small screwdriver
Small pair of scissors
Duct tape
Fishing line and hooks
Cotton ball fire starters

Dear Reader, When we had our mishap, we did not have the stressors of not being prepared and not having ways to care for our immediate and short-term needs. You may not live the kind of off-roading and outdoor-loving lifestyle that I do, but I do hope you take steps to prepare the best you can for likely scenarios in your own life. My love to all!
