Mail carriers have a rough way to go on the roads with the job they do. Between distracted drivers and rude, impatient drivers, they have many close calls. People are often unkind. It is a very dangerous situation. This time of year, they are working very late to deliver all of the packages. Please keep an eye out for them.
When you see a mail carrier, please slow down! Assume they may not see you and might pull in front of you. They do the best they can, but the trucks are built to carry mail. The mail trucks aren't very safe vehicles and do not always have the best visibility.
Mail carriers have the right of way. Please respect that.
