Known as the Hurricane or Spider Lily, these flowers come up after a very heavy rain. They are very pretty in a group. They can lay dormant for years until the right conditions bring them out again. We have a few dozen in one area. Amanda picked this one and put it in a vase for me to enjoy indoors. She also took some to plant at her home this year.
Storms in our lives can be scary, but they can bring out beautiful things too. We might discover hidden strengths we didn't know we had. We might demonstrate grace we did not know we could possess. It might even be a weakness revealed which we need to work on. There's beauty in the Lord showing us ways we need to improve so we can be more like Him. Just like how storms in nature bring out the Hurricane Lilies, it is interesting to see what good things pop up after a life storm is over.
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
