Little Joe
Little Joe was named after a German Shepherd that saved soldiers he served with in Vietnam. I named my Sulcata (aka African Spurred) tortoise after him so I could educate people not only about tortoises but also our canine war heroes. I went with a male name because most sulcatas are male. However, it looks like I am one of the few who has a valuable female.
This is my Little Joe's favorite way to sleep. She likes to wedge herself in the very old flower pot I gave her for a burrow. It's getting to be a tight fit, so I am going to have to buy her a new pot to sleep in soon.
