While it has not been two weeks since it was shared in the blog, it has been two weeks since Amanda candled the black snake eggs she found outside of her home. Wanting to show good stewardship over God's creation, she decided to hatch them and then release them (with permission) at different locations. They are in a container with latches, and so far, it appears to be going very well. Our entire family has taken an interest in her snake eggs, not because we are huge snake enthusiasts (we're not), but because we love Amanda and it is a part of her life she wants to share with us. Those parents who have ears, let them hear.
The eggs appeared to be larger than last time.
Unlike chicken eggs with their hard shells, snake eggs have leathery shells.

Not only does Amanda take joy in learning new things,
she also enjoys sharing knowledge with others.
pink = blood = life
We could also see it moving inside.
I am not feeling very positive about this one, but Amanda thought she saw movement. It might just be developing slower which happens with poultry eggs too.
Amanda plans to bring them back in two weeks, and I will do my best to get pictures and update the blog about them for our homeschooling friends.
