Think about Jesus's question:
"But why do you call Me 'Lord, Lord,' and do not do the things which I say" Luke 6:46
Coming to know Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior is transformative to one's life. You can not invite Him into your life and remain unchanged. The moment we accept His free gift of salvation we have been "born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, that is, through the living and enduring word of God." (I Peter 1:23) There is outward evidence of this inward change. The Holy Spirit dwells within us and convicts us and leads us. The fruits of the Spirit start making themselves known in our lives and grow stronger as we walk with Him. The more we know Him, the more we love Him and through extension the more we will love and show grace to other people. Once we know Him and understand all He has done for us, the more we desire to please Him by obeying Him.
savior: one that saves from danger or destruction
lord: someone or something having power, authority, or influence; a master or ruler
submit: accept or yield to a superior force or to the authority or will of another person.
