A dear friend from our hometown is undergoing a risky surgery this morning. Please pray for her and her family. Clint and I are very concerned for her well-being.
8 p.m. She is OK. The surgery revealed she has a second slow leak in a valve, but it is not worth the risk of surgery. This explains some worrisome test results she received recently. Thank you to all who prayed for her.
I apologize for not updating sooner. Clint planned a last-minute romantic weekend getaway for us. I had to finish what work I could, put away my gardening gear, pick nine five-gallon buckets of pears, shower, pack, and literally jump in the suburban. Tuesday and Wednesday, I will be peeling and preserving pears.
