2/8: Renee has severe tearing in the ligaments of her wrist. She may have to have surgery, but she has to wait to see a specialist who will tell her more.
1/23: Renee has new swelling in her arm near her wrist. She is scheduled for an MRI sometime soon. It has been five months since her CoVid shot reaction. She has been in a lot of pain and has not been able to use her arm much at all since that time. They strongly suspect what is going on with her arm now is related. I can not imagine her frustration especially since she has a grandson she wants to hold.
11/12/2021 From Renee: I wanted to thank everyone for all the prayers while I was in the hospital for a week in the end of September’ and then back and forth to the hospital to get IV antibiotic infusions daily for the following 15 days. Along with Wound Care for my arm; at first 3x/week, now down to 1x/week. I saw the surgeon today (6 weeks post-op) and he said everything looks good and he wants me to start therapy for my shoulder. Due to its lack of being used for the last 2-1/2 months, he thinks it is needed to get my range of motion back. As I enter what I hope are the last phases of my recovery, your continued prayers are much appreciated. I would have never imagined all this could happen from getting a vaccine.
October 27: Renee is finished with the IV antibiotics and the wound vac! PTL!
Update October 19: They added two days to Renee's IV antibiotic treatment. She finished that Monday. She is still going back and forth to the hospital to have the wounds cleaned and repacked. She still has the wound vac. She may have to do this for another two weeks!! Please keep her in prayer. She is still having pain.
Update Oct 8: Renee is going back and forth to the hospital every day to receive IV antibiotics and to have her wounds tended. They are repacking the gauze in the cavities in her arm every day. She also has a wound vac. She said she is still in quite a bit of pain.
Update Oct 4: Renee is home. She says she feels a tiny bit better and is still having pain.
Update Oct 2: Renee has been in the hospital since the 27th. They told her she could go home Friday, then today Saturday. Now, they are holding her off on going home until Sunday evening. Please pray for her healing and pain relief.
My lifelong friend Renee had an adverse reaction to the CoVid-19 vaccination. Her arm became inflamed and swollen for a month after the shot. She had an abscess open and drain for two days before she could get to a doctor. The doctor wanted her to have surgery, but they couldn't see her for another week. So, she was sent to the ER. They did a CT scan and found she had multiple abscesses. They performed surgery to open and drain them. Then they packed them so they could heal from the inside out. She developed sepsis and has been in the hospital most of this week. Please pray God will ease her pain and fully heal her.
