Rooting Herbs from the Grocery Store

rootingherbs2

I buy fresh-cut herbs from the grocery store, bring them home, cut new ends on them, and let them sit in water for a couple of hours. Then, I remove all except a few leaves, coat the ends in raw honey, and stick them in rockwool. You can do it in a glass with water, but the rockwool almost always guarantees success for me. Fresh cut herbs are $1-2 a bundle/package. With a little patience, I can get several plants from each package, have fresh herbs to use, and have some to harvest at the end of the season.
