This is an incredibly valuable medicinal plant that is widely used across the globe. I am so thankful to finally have my own plant! I just hope I can keep it alive until I can plant it outside next spring.
This little plant will grow to be around nine feet tall and is hard to kill. Once well established, it will supposedly live outside year-round in my Zone 7 climate. I was told I will have to protect it from the cold for a couple of years to get it to that point.
It treats liver disorders, malaria (possibly CoVid?), many gastrointestinal disorders, fevers, fertility issues, nausea, and more. There is scientific research on this plant available should you care to look it up.
